When the transport company Euroroute needed to set up e-invoicing with Volvo, they decided to go for a full scale e-platform. xTrade Business Communications Suite was their choice, developed by the Swedish data communication company Xware AB. The e-platform was fully integrated with Euoroutes own system in three days. -Our customers often ask for different forms of e-solutions early on, often at the same time they ask for the invoice. Thanks to the e-platform we can meet the demands both easily and quickly, says Peter Åberg, IT-head at Euroroute.
Volvos demands that their suppliers should start sending invoices electronically made Euroroutes need for a proper solution evident. "We wanted a cost effective solution that could easily solve our need for communication with Volvo, and that later could be expanded with additional services for our customers. Through the e-platform we acchieved this," says Peter Åberg, head of IT at Euroroute.
The e-platform was integrated with Euroroute´s own system and was working within three days. Having an accomplished e-platform gives Euroroute a great advantage to meet the customers new demands quickly. "Our customers often ask for different forms of e-solutions early on, often at the same time they ask for the invoice. Now we can meet the demands both easily and quickly. Right now we are developing an electronic booking system, that will give our customers reliable answers on transport related inquiries only in seconds. Several other services are also planned for," continues Peter Åberg. Euroutes e-platform is based on a Swedish product concept, xTrade Business Communications Suite, developed and delivered by Xware AB. Anders Lyckosköld, head of market at Xware AB, says:
